FHA
POLICIES: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!
The past few weeks have been filled
with many questions about the enforcement
of existing FHA policies. We will, as always,
be a leader in our industry when it comes
to your FHA needs. Our engineering company,
RCS Enterprises, LP, keeps us informed and
in line when it comes to the world of FHA.
Martin Montgomery and his knowledgeable staff
have been working hard to make all the necessary
adjustments. Mr. Montgomery sent out a letter
informing the industry of FHA policies and
requirements. Please take a moment to down
load this letter and send it to others in
the industry. We will pass along information
as we get it via this site. Please visit the
“Contact Us” page and give us
your information so we may keep you informed.
Initial Inspections:
On every job will need to visually inspect
the site. The only exclusion is for new homes
that have dirt pads installed. These inspections
will cover the 5 main issues discussed on
the above mentioned letter. They will take
time and will need to be evaluated before
we can put together a written estimate. While
runner foundation prices will be standard
by box size, drainage and the need for dirt
work will be addressed on an individual basis.
This inspection will cost $200 and must be
paid for in advance. When all services are
completed and an invoice is done, a $100 credit
will be applied for this inspection. We take
MasterCard, Visa, Discover, personal checks
and money orders.
Foundations:
All runners will be extended to the edge of
the home so that the skirting may be properly
attached and braced. As of January 1, 2007
all the major concrete companies are increasing
the price of materials and we cannot afford
to absorb these increases. This extra cost
of concrete will cause the runners to increase
$200.
V&V can also install skirting on new homes.
If you would like to use your own skirting
company we will be happy to explain to them
what is necessary. To see a general picture
of what needs to be done, please see the “Existing
Homes” page of our site.
Please read the letter published by Martin
Montgomery of RCS Enterprises, LP.
